Sam Matthews Counselling; I am a registered member of the BACP, fully insured, and use a person centred and integrative approach. I use methods from various models of counselling, such as CBT, Compassion Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I specialise in helping clients with various issues, from anxiety and depression, crisis and trauma, grief and bereavement, self-harm, abuse, teenage issues, self-esteem issues, and couples counselling. I continue my professional development and have recently qualified as a Trauma Specialist. One of my greatest assets is my therapy dog Ollie. My current charges are £55.00 for individual sessions and £80.00 for couples sessions.
My approach to therapy is to provide empathy, compassion, and non-judgement. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where my clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and feelings, and where they can develop the skills and tools they need to grow and move forwards happily and confidently.
I recently completed my Trauma specialist certification, so am able to helps with PTSD, childhood trauma, sexual abuse, and other forms of trauma.
